This year we are very excited to have awarded money to 4 fantastic charities who do amazing work supporting the military community. This will aid the fantastic projects and plans they have coming up this year - we can't wait to see the results!
Here is a little information about those charities...
BOWRA support the physical and psychological wellbeing, rehabilitation and recovery of people living with brain injury. They provide practical help through the provision of the BOWRA Bag and deliver meaningful activities that rebuild confidence, connection and quality of life for their beneficiaries, their families and carers, supported by members of the Armed Forces community.
Their aim is to erect a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum to remember our fellow brothers and sisters, lost to suicide after they have finished their service for their country from our Armed Forces.
Stepway support all veterans in civilian life, no matter their background or circumstance. We provided funding for them to purchase two workstations and a printer.
They offer help and advice to care leavers and are always here to listen. Their projects are available to anyone over 16 who has been in foster care or residential care during their childhoods.
