BFBS Creative Case Study - RAF Recruitment

Overview

BFBS Creative used in-house video production expertise, creativity and in-depth knowledge of the Royal Air Force (RAF) to create a fast-paced, informative and social-media-friendly recruitment film to promote jobs in logistics.

The challenge

The RAF relies on logistics roles day in, day out. Not a single aircraft can leave the base without the logistics team.

To help the RAF ramp up recruitment in supply, storage and distribution jobs, BFBS Creative was asked to produce a creative and attention-grabbing recruitment video.

The video had to serve the purpose of increasing applicant numbers and educating people about this exciting but less-known area of the military. The video had to also attract interest from women and people in the BAME community.

The solution

At the start of the production process we used social media analytics to explore and understand what type of content would most likely resonate with the target audiences.

Using the results as a basis, our team developed a recruitment video that looks great on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and as GIFs and graphics. Naturally, it was essential that the video was also in line with the RAF’s brand guidelines. The video was produced to be engaging from the very beginning and to hold people’s attention on social media platforms.

Although just two-minutes long, the content is delivered with style and gives viewers the insight they need to make up their minds to find out more.
